Donald Joseph “Polock” Bartczak., age 77, of New Kensington, PA, and formerly of Dalton, GA, departed this life Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Alleghany Valley Hospital in Natrona Height, Pennsylvania. Don was born February 28, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph Jennie Obradovich Bartczak. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Willa Mae Millsaps Bartczak, son, Charles Bartczak, grandson, Andrew Joseph Bartczak, one sister.
He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. He worked as a truck driver for over 30 years for Shaw Industries.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Anne Wojcik Bartczak of New Kensington, PA; children, Tony and Vickie Bartczak of Dalton, GA, David “Joey” and Angela Bartczak of Indiana, Jackie Derreberry of Mississippi, Pamela Williams of Tennessee; step-children, Suzanne Matthew and Daniel Stuben of New Kensington, PA; cousin, Dale Labacz; eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
Services to celebrate the life of Donald Joseph “Polock” Bartczak will be held Monday, November 4, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at McCaysville Church of Christ with Robbie Eversoe and Keith Richie officiating. He will be laid to rest at Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery in Fannin County, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the McCaysville Church of Christ.
